Can you actually hope to find employment in Japan with shaky language skills? -

I am considering to take on corporate design contracts in Japan as a product- and transportation designer in a few years time, and I still need to learn the language. Has anybody here had any experience with regards to going jobhunting while still learning the language? Is there any hope to find anything under those conditions?

You actually can get around without knowing the language very well. However, Japanese will have a negative veiw about you, since they will feel are not trying to learn their langauge. It is insulting not to learn Japanese. I suggest you bring a freind who knows the language with you.

* i would,nt say it was impossible if you already know some of the language.try going to college well before hand to get a better grasp and understanding of it before you go.good luck.
