How would I enter a cell phone number from japan on my atamp;t phone to make a text message? -

I have a friend from japan that would like to message from my cell do I need to us the 82 number and then the number or just the number.

I believe you have to enter it with all the codes, not just the number. For example, when I text my friend in Greece,the number looks like +306821119991 (not an actual number, but you see what I mean?) That s how I have her number stored in my phone, that s what I text. I don t think you have to add the + thingy though lol
