Visit or contact the Immigration Bureau and you can get forms there on changing your visa status.. below are list of visa and which status you will need to apply
It is easy to change your visa status. You will have to leave the country once to do so. If you get a sponsor for a working visa, you will just have to provide them with all the documents necessary for your working visa, and they will do everything for you with immigration. Once they get your Certificate of Eligibility, you sponsor would give that to you, and with that in hand, you would go to a Japanese embassy or consulate on foreign soil, give your CorE to them with your passport and they will give you the new visa. Easy. The difference between a working visa and a Business visa is in the documents you are responsible for. With a working visa, you just need to provide documents that show your expertise in the field which you are going to be working. College degree, licenses, qualifications, etc. For a business visa, you have a whole storm of papers you yourself will need to provide immigration. On top of that, I don t think that foreigners are permitted to own businesses, or should I say be sole owners of a business in Japan with just a visa. You would need to be at least a Permanent Resident. You need to be a PR to get loans and stuff. You can do business, but not own a business. The difference there is that you work for an established company, and want to start a branch or a franchise in Japan. Then you will have to fill out a ton of financial papers. You would still need a guarantor in Japan. Even Small English schools, have Japanese owners on paper, if a foreigner is the manager/owner. but with you getting your degree in Japan, there may be an exception for your case. That, I am not sure about. The working visa would be your best bet if you just want to work in Japan.
