Well its too late to change, but I always prefer going long distance flights during what you would consider your waking hours. Sleeping on planes is highly uncomfortable and not very restful. Some people can t sleep at all (thankfully not me.) If you travel while your body wants to sleep it generally feels very awful, and then you still have to deal with landing, baggage and travel after. Take water and healthy snacks. The airlines are generally good about bringing fluids but it is very dry on the airplane. Take eye drops for the same reason, your eyes will dry out as you re reading or watching movies. Brushing your teeth before you arrive helps wake you up and feeling much less gross. And this is much less important, but I love my iPod touch which I load with movies and TV and games. With a battery extender it is a personal entertainment center the likes of which are not to be found.
