What is the current political situation of Japan? -

This is coming from someone who is completely ignorant of Japanese affairs. Does Japan have a prime minister? What sort of goverment does Japan have? Is it a religious government? Etc etc.

There is a Prime Minister in Japan, not a religious one but selected by elections. His name is Taro Aso. He s been in that position since around October, 2008. Before he got in that position, Yasuo Fukuda was in that position. Before he did, Shinzo Abe was. They two quite their job as a Prime Minister for only 1 year, so Japan s political situation is really a problem. It s not so stable. Mr.Aso is in the party, Jiyu-Minshu-to (=The Liveral Party). But the current biggest party is Minshu-to (=The Democratic Party), and that s the problem. Since Democratic Party is the biggest , government does not go smoothly even though Prime Minister wants to do something. Japan s economics has been seriously damaged since September 2008. The fact is that the Government hasn t been able to solve this problem due to the battle between the Liveral Party and the Democratic Party. ※Japan s government has two assembly, the House of Represent atives and the House of Councilors. The former has more power than the latter.

Almost all of japanese have Buddhism. But japanese government doesn t have it.
