What should I bring to Japan as an exchange student from Australia? -

I m going to Japan for 10 days and I m not should what to bring for my host family. My host family has no children and I need to buy presents for host family, people from high school, junior high and primary. Oh and I m going to Osaka. Can you help?

I think they will appreciate anything that is very Australian. Flags, posters, koala key chains, etc. Try to see what they sell at gift shops in major tourist areas in Australia like in Sydney.

A few years back I went on an exchange trip to Japan, and I had absolutely no idea what to buy my host family. I really recommend tim tams, my host family loved them. I brought them a few packs in different flavours and they went over great. Also, if you re thinking about bringing them Vegemite, you may want to rethink. The majority of people there HATE it. Other than that, just bring them stuff like Australian flags, keyrings, things with koalas, kangaroos or boomerangs on them.... etc....

Australian sweets are the only way to go! After all that is the Japanese tradition.
