Is there cheap plane tickets from Japan to any other Asian country? -

Why is it so expensive to fly from Japan to either thailand, shanghai, south korea or taiwan? Its ridiculous, a flight from narita to korea will take less than 2 hours in the air, yet its a $750 USD flight? Maybe I am looking in the wrong places. Anyone out there know why this is and know any websites to get cheap roundtrip airfare in Asia?
