What is the most popular dog in japan? -

i saw someone wlaking this dog in key west. they told me it was the most popular dog in japan and the name as well, but now i forget the name. it looked like a fox, not very furry and the color of a fox as well.

?I think you mean Shiba Inu, but I wouldn t say Shiba Inu (inu means dog) was the quot;most popularquot; dog in Japan, but it s certainly one of the most traditional Japanese dog. I m told that these dogs are very good with children too and quite lovable. Did it look like this: http://doggy.onzehond.nl/images-rassen(J... http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/calendars/Sh... http://www.shibaweb.com/japanese_dogs_sm... In the area of Japan where I live, the Shiba Inu is a popular sight! I see them on a daily basis. Recently though it has become very trendy to have cute quot;lap dogsquot; here in Japan. People carry them around everywhere and even dress them up. I have never seen a Shiba Inu dressed up though.(*^o^*)

It is Shibu Inu? Here is an expert dog owner who had been putting his Shibu Inu puppies on LIVE WEBCAM for the past few weeks already (as of end November 2008)! You can buy the dog training lessons there! Watch puppies LIVE here: http://www.DogExpertReveal.com... Report Abuse

Maybe the dog that you watched is quot;Shiba Inuquot;. Shiba Inu is famous dog in Japan. But I don t think Shiba Inu is the most popular dog in Japan. In Japan, Chihuahua was used in a TV commercial last year, so Chihuahua was very popular. But it isn t so popular recently. I see a Golden retriever and a dachshund and a papillon around me well.

fox terrier

I think that it is a shiba-inu. They are very popular in Japan. SHIBA means quot;a small thingquot;, INU means quot;dogquot;. Their hair is brown hair, black color and yellowish-brown. Their size is not so big. Characteristic of shiba-inu is that ears are small of triangle and stand. The tail is curling.

the ones they eat hahahaha

They EAT them.

Here s a picture of an ornament of a Shiba Inu ... http://www.doggiftshop.com/gift-shop/ima... ... is that the one?? Anyway, Japanese people do NOT eat dogs, they never HAVE eaten dogs, and they have never NEEDED to eat dogs!! The neighbouring countries which DO eat dogs NEEDED to do so because it was the best source of protein available to them!! Japanese people got plenty of protein from fish!! And now they get it from fish, chicken, cows, pigs, and occasionally sheep! I live in Japan, and I don t often see Shiba inu around. Most dogs here are Dachshunds!! Until recently Chihuahuas were probably more popular, because they are the stars of the adverts for a large credit organisation. But the organisation has been accused of unfair practices, so now the Chihuahua isn t quite so popular!! People do NOT eat their dogs though - they love them to bits, and spoil them rotten! ; )

hunting dogs

it cant be japanese chin as that one looks like a koala..

the name is Shiba Inu. shiba means small and inu means dog. it is an interbreeding of the Sanin, the Mino, and the Shinshu. they were originally bred for hunting. they are very independent and intelligent dogs and one of the oldest dog breeds. they get up to about 15-25 pounds, with red color and do look a lot like foxes.

it was probably a shinu inu( cant spell it)..japenese dog.. they are very pretty dogs and do look like a fox...

was the individual carrying utensils and a wearing a bib? did the dog have marinade dripping in excess of it?

If the dog you met in key west is a kind of that dog, that you have never seen before, it might be one of Japanese traditional dogs because in Japan regardless the trend s dogs, Japanese dogs are always have popularity and fed by many Japanese people in all over Japan. My aunt are living country side, and she also has one. He is very friendly royalty dog, and it looks some what like fox as well (I think he is cuter than fox) According to the web site, http://66.94.231.168/search/cache?p=shib... Shiba inu is most popular dog in pet among (Japanese??) dogs in Japan. One of the reason is because Shiba inu is the dog that is most easy to feed in Japanese dogs. If the dog you saw is not Shiba inu, you could be find the dog on following web page:
