How different are the schools in korea and japan compared to the US? -

In the US, most schools have 6th, 7th and 8th grade for middle school. For highschool, we have four years; freshman, sophomore, junior and senior. Is it any different in asia? specifically Korea and Japan.

Those schools are full of Asians.
