The bed for the Tacoma is manufactured in Mexico, but the Truck itself is assembled at the NUMMI plant in California. That has been the case since the introduction of the quot;Tacomaquot; from the quot;Toyota Truckquot;. The last quot;truckquot; that Toyota produced in Japan for sale in the US was the T100 before the introduction of the Tundra which replaced it and is was produced in Princeton, Indiana, and now in San Antonia, Texas. Hope this helps. Ken
New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. is an automobile manufacturing plant in Fremont, California. The factory was an old General Motors plant originally opened in 1962 and is now a joint venture between GM and Toyota. As of December of 2008, the NUMMI plant produces the Toyota Corolla compact car, Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, and the Pontiac Vibe hatchback. So, before 2008.
