Flight prices change a ton of times each day,different companies offer different prices,different airlines offer different prices,depending on which month you fly in alters the prices (flying between April and October will cost you the most,flights from the end of October to the end of March are usually the cheapest for any destination),depending on how many lay-overs you want will effect the price (direct flights are more than flights with a lay-over)...so,there really isn t an accurate answer for this question x

Well, this isn t really easy advice heh, but since you asked for the cheapest You can fly with for free in the military--on the Air Force bases they have planes that come in every week sometimes to transport supplies. They have passenger seats for about 70. If you had the chance, you would have to wait to see if there are any flights to Japan, and you can t be to sure when you will get back--I was stuck in Hawaii for an extra week, but it was worth it :D Find a friend in the military one day and take a vacation!!!
