How much does it cost to make an international phone call from the US to Japan? -

I m thinking of making a phone call to Japan (Kyoto) via a public telephone. How much would a 5 minute conversation cost?

i used to call from usa to japan and i used phone card $8 and i called cell phone thought,the signal is very good and i got 49 minutes!i remember if you call home phone is 1 hour 30 minutes1

The best way to do this would be to buy an international calling card - they charge about 2c to 5c per minute, but you need to buy a $10 minimum card. (I m not linking to any sites as they all look spammy!)

Yes, the pre-paid card is the cheapest and you can call from any phone with international access. But if you get the chance, I would to with skype, and just buy credit, if you can get to a computer.
