How much would a month trip to japan cost? -

I m 15 and I want to go to japan when I turn 18, before I go off to college. I really love traveling, so it would be worth it. The thing is, I want to save up for the trip myself, without borrowing money from my parents. Maybe a month might be a lot, but say two weeks. Including tickets, hotels, food, transportation, gifts and whatever else I might need to pay for, how much am I looking at?

Hi Equus I think that for a travel month in Japan, for all, you need at least of 2500 4000.... now, but you go in 2011, so I can that you need in the future 5000$

Due to dramatic on-going fluctuation of world-wide exchange rates, stock markets and so many speculative venture options, we are not sure how much cost to spend for two weeks trip to Japan 3 years ahead should be reasonable. Least to say, if you come from USA, it might be more expensive than right now. At this moment, the anticipation for economy trip all I can say could be US$5,000 must be necessary including everything. Discounted air ticket for round trip US$1000 Discounted cheap Ryokan hotel stay US$700(2wks ttl) Meal, transportation and admission ttl US$1300 Pleasure, souvenir and adjustment US$2000 It is just rough idea though.

3,000.00 USD 2 weeks is a good amount of time. I m going back to Japan in a little over a month, for two weeks. My plane ticket costed me $1031.00 USD (through www.jtbusa.com). I m staying in hostels the entire stay, which are the most economical way to travel. They offer good comfort with the benefit of being able to easily meet socialize with people from all across the world. The hostel that I stay in (k s house) runs about 3000 yen/night (about 30.00 usd), so housing will come to 420.00. If you don t want to just stay in the same city the entire time (which you shouldn t, imho) you should buy a 7-day JR Pass. A JR pass, for ~300.00 USD, will allow you to travel pretty much anywhere in Japan for those 7 days. (I just posted a blog out on how to purchase one at http://daninjapan.eggy.cc ) . It s only available to foreigners, and you should definitely take advantage of that. With about 800.00 more for food, minimal shopping, etc. we come to the grand total of around 2500.00 USD . But you can never have enough for trips like these. 3000.00 for two weeks would be wise. s

A capsule hotel would cost you about $35-$40 a night. These are mainly used by tired salary men.It has only enough room for you,and little else.Your luggage would have to be kept else-where.You may find room in a student hostile. Just the airfare is likely to be $1,000+. Two weeks to 4,figure on $2,000-$4000. The other poster is way off money wise.$4 for a capsule room?Impossible! BTW, it s great you want to try to do this on your own.It shows a lot of responsibility for a 15 year old.

my sisters in tokyo right now she said that her hotel is 4$ american money each night (shes staying in a capsule hotel) and she said food is REALLY CHEAP so i would say about...200$ a month because you have to party and buy stuff:) lol
