should a developed nation, such as the united states and japan give economic aid directly to poor nations, or should this aid be channeled through international organizations?

It doesn′t matter as long as you ,(a), send it in the most efficient manner, and(b)follow the Chinese proverb that says that if you give a man a fish then you feed him for one day but if you teach him to fish then you feed him for the rest of his life.

It woud be nice, but people in developed nations are stingey and would FREAK OUT if you suggested raising taxes. You know it might mean someone can t buy that fifth TV or something. Who cares about people starving to death when WE have more than enough. The short answer - Yes.

I think we should help others...to an extent. We shouldn t just GIVE money to developing or third world countries. The money should go through organizations that know how to use it. The U.S., as of late, has become the country who goes...quot;We have to set an example so we have to help these people!quot; Which means more troubles for us.

The US doesn t have any money. It just has a massive amount of debt. Let s send that to poor nations.

no we should help the people here who need it
