What is the weather like in Kanazawa, Japan in April to early May? -

I am traveling to Kanazawa Japan. I was wondering what the weather is like during April to May. I heard that it can be very, very, very humid there. What would be the best traveling wear?

It is true that it is very humid in Kanazawa. However, it is not so humid in April and May. Probably it is the best season in Kanazawa. Here is the table that shows amounts of monthly precipitation. (See the figures of the bottom row of the table.) http://www.ad.kanazawa-u.ac.jp/exchange/... The monthly precipitation on January amounts to 264 millimeters, but on April merely amounts to 143 millimeters. In winter, it is cloudy day after day and snowing and so wet. But spring will come in March and it will be fine. I remember it was comfortable season. Also I remember, magnolia bloomed on March and cherry bloomed on early April. Then, it will be humid again from late June. Rainy season TSUYU will come.

Kanazawa sits on the Sea of Japan, bordered by the Japan Alps, Hakusan National Park and Noto Peninsula National Park. The city sits between the Sai and Asano rivers. Its total area is 467.77 km2. Kanazawa s weather is temperate though rainy. Average temperatures are similar to those of Tokyo though slightly cooler. Mean temperatures are approximately 4°C in January, 15°C in April, 25°C in July and August, 15°C in October, and 5°C in December. The minimum temperature on record was -2.3°C (2002), with a maximum of 37.5°C (2002). The city is relatively wet, with an average humidity of 73% and 178 rainy days in an average year. Precipitation is highest in the autumn and winter; it averages more than 250 mm / month November through January.
