What four or five questions would you like to ask an American living in Japan? -

I am conducting interviews of some Americans who are living and working in Japan, and would like to get some interesting and/or goofy questions to ask them. Thanks in advance!

What Japanese habits do you get on your nerves? Have you ever noticed any funny Japanese pronunciation? How do you feel and respond to Japanese earthquake? Have you ever had any pass from someone Japanese? What was most embarrassed moment did you ever have in Japan?

For the person who lives and works in Japan: 1. What were some of the difficulties you first experienced at your job.office in Japan? Difficulties such as office politics, organizational make up and communications. 2. How did you deal with the group decision mentatlity? Do you have examples of how you thought time was being wasted before decisions were made. 3. What were your working office hours like before you moved to Japan and what was your experience in a Japanese office/company environment? 4. What have you learned from your current/past experience that helps you to advance your career? 5. Finally, which do you like better the bounenkai or the shin nenkai?

What was the deciding factor that made you decide to want to move to Japan from America? Have you had any interesting or strange experiences while in Japan? Do you enjoy the overall Japanese culture? If so what do you like most? Least? What are some differences between Japanese culture and American culture? Do you miss being in America? If so what do you miss? Is there a language barrier? Has is it been difficult learning another language?

Would you be willing to wear some of the more extreme styles - like Gothic Lolita or ganguro? In Japan, are you more or less popular with the opposite sex than you were in America? Poisonous centipedes, enormous cockroaches, giant hornets, and speeding quot;gejigejiquot; - what do you think of the bugs of Japan? How comfortable are you with Japanese-style squat toilets?

How do you handle the language barrier? How do you pay your bills/handle your affairs back home? Have you been able to make any Japanese friends, if so, how, if not, why? What is the greatest challenge to living in Japan? What aspects of Japanese life/culture/technology do you find superior to the US? That s five I d like to know the answers to.
