What would have happened if Japan hadnt attacked Pearl Harbor? -

What if Japan hadn t provoked America into WW2? Would Hitler have taken it all the way?

Good question Germany would have had more time to develop their Atomic bomb Japan might have been defeated China In Europe we would have definitely gotten involved sooner or later , But if Germany had focused solely on fighting western europe things might have become a truce With a cold war between the USA and Germany instead of how it turned out Good question though

Japan attacked the American protectorate of the Phillipines and the British colony of Malaysia, both of which are acts of war. Japan s fundamental problem was a shortage of oil, which would not have been solved by not bombing Pearl Harbour. Japan s real motivation was China. They knew that once China became industrialized, Japan would not be able to defeat China. Pearl harbour was merely a symptom of the illness. Germany could never have defeated the Russians anyway. US help did shorten the war, but Germany could not have recovered from Stalingrad and Kursk.

First of All; Great Answer RICKENBANGER. USA was destined to enter the war. Car makers stopped manufacturing automobiles in 1938, in order to produce tanks and other war machines. If this is not a prelude to war, I don t know what is, especially since the war started in Dec 1941 for USA. Germany never attacked USA. Roosevelt amp; Churchill created the Atlantic Charter to get USA fighting on European soil. Germany would have ruled Europe if it was not for Roosevelt s meddling with American lives.

Roosevelt was determined to enter the U.S. in WW2 in one way or another. In spring of 1941 a U.S. patrol boat fired on a German naval vessel in the Atlantic. The German vessel turned and sailed away rather than return fire. Had Japan not attacked U.S. bases in Hawai i the Philippines, and other Pacific Islands, the U.S. would have wound up in the fight some other way.

Germany and Japan would be a lot bigger.
