How to survive in Japan with little cash? -

I heard that there are Bamp;B accommodation around japan but how do I go around doing it? And I don t speak japanese, this is going to be a problem. However I am just so interested in the japanese culture and their lifestyle. Maybe I could get a job there too while I travel around, is that even possible?

Interestingly enough, the cheapest accommodations in Japan are the Internet Cafe s. You won t get a bed but you ll get a comfortable reclining chair in a private cubicle. They ll have showers, a small kitchen and it ll cost you around 2000 yen/day. If you choose your meals wisely and use a bicycle to commute, you can probably live on less than 4000 yen/day. With that being said, I d strongly recommend that you learn basic Japanese before you visit because the vast majority of their population does not speak English. Being able to speak Japanese would make your experience far more enjoyable. As for working, unless you live in a country which participates in the working holiday program, you ll need a company in Japan to sponsor you for a work visa. If you have a university degree, you can try applying at one of the many English schools in Japan. Otherwise, your only hope would be to marry a Japanese national. :)

bad news to go to japan with little $ is BAD news,everything is way more expensive and to get around by cab is really expensive and the train is as well. i really want to work over there but it seems impossible to live there b/c they are very strict with their culture so they dont let foreigners stay for more than 30-90 days.The japanese are VERY VERY kind and helpful to americans, they will even bow to you, dont forget to bow to them back its disrespectful if you dont. carry around the japanese dictionary with phrases next to the japanese characters and they are more than willing to help you as much as possible-really they are soooooooo nice.but even if you marry someone that is japanese i heard it takes years to get citizenship. best bet is if you can get a job on a military base to work there...let me know if it happens for you, we can get married, haha jk. good luck dude

For the most part, you need a four year degree to work in Japan. Sorry,I don t think this idea is possible. It costs a lot of money to travel around Japan. The days are over where people could just travel the country.

I recommend that you would get a job as English teacher in ECC which is Japanese English school.
