How many times can I visit Japan a year on tourist visa? -

If I was to visit Japan on only a tourist Visa, how many times could I come a year? Would I have to explain and talk my way through it everytim eat the boarding gate? I own a company in Japan but do not have a full working visa, but would like to enter japan every now and then to check on the business. Any suggestions?

As far as I know there are no quot;officialquot; limits for tourist visas, but if immigration suspects that you are not coming to Japan for travel purposes then they will eventually deny you entry. You should have your company sponsor you on a business visa. Further, you should be aware that Japanese immigration procedures are changing later this year. All foreigners entering (or re-entering) Japan will be treated like criminals -- fingerprinted (both index fingers) and photographed. This information will be shared among Japanese government agencies and with the US government. It could easily be shared with other counties in the future. Anyone who cares about privacy and does not wish to be treated as a criminal should avoid visiting Japan For more information please see this official Japanese government video: http://nettv.gov-online.go.jp/prg/prg120...

US also takes fingerprints. Your expression of quot;like criminalsquot; is like ignorant. And 180 days limitation is heard from the Nyukan officer. He says the decision is up to the officer. How ever, he says continuation is usually up to 180 days. Call the Nyukan first. Report Abuse

as many as u could but be careful....each visa give u a one time visit only. Yes u gotta go back n forth to the embassy to have each visa. Sometime, they give u a multi visit visa (there are some circumstances to get it). Also each visa has the expire date. boarding gate will not help.U gotta go to the embassy to ask for their suggestion, but since u r not japanese, u will definitely need visa each entering. They wont give u a working visa. I also have a business there... I think tats all from my experiences...

You maybe talking about the quot;entry permitquot; which you don t need to get in advance. If your permit is quot;90 daysquot;, and stayed in Japan nearly 90 days (you ve spent 90days already), you will be able to enter in to Japan again. But if you spent another 90 days, the person won t be able to get new permit for a while. quot; How many timesquot; is not the point. The point is quot;how longquot; in a year. 45 countries in the world are holing Tax treaty between Japan. And in some countries, the person who is staying over 180 days or 183 days (it depends) in a year are assumed as a resident of the country. The person bears an obligation of tax paying in this case. But each nations know tourist won t pay tax. That is why lots of the nations give you entry permit up to 180 days only. Especially Japan and the US is strict about this. However, if you have any special reason, such as managing company, it is special case. The person usually holds alien registration card. Japan will expect you to drop lots of money as tax. The is same in the US. If tourists have stayed in the US for 90 days with the permit, the person would receive another 90 day permit only. Many tourists are not be permitted for their 3rd time at the border between Canada and the US. By the way, the officer at the passport check can change the period of permit of the stamp easily. I have seen some Asians say quot;Oh I have 30 days only for this time...quot;, something like that. added--------------------- If you really have your own company (not self employed), you need 投資経営ビザ (Investment and Management Visa). I think you can read Japanese. http://visa.dreamblog.jp/14/12/

You can go to Japan without a visa for 90 consecutive days. All you need is a passport and ticket, if you are an American. Japan has working vacationvisas for Austrailia, the UK, and Canada among other countries.

It s simple. As many times as you want. Each time, your visa is good for 90 days. Simple.
