90 days. What kind of visa do you want?? Any idea? To get a working visa, you ll need at least a university degree. Do you have that? With that, you can easily get a job teaching English. It shouldn t take more than 2-3 weeks to get the visa if you have all the correct paperwork. You ll need a job before you get the working visa.
A US citizen can stay in Japan up to 90 days without a visa.

you can probably stay 6months..... twice 90days with a 200dollars day trip to Korea in between.
