What needs to be done in order to bring a cat from Canada to Japan? -

I have a cat in Canada and I am currently in Japan. My husband is taking care of her but he can t find a place to live with her so easily. I want to bring her to Japan but I wonder how much it will cost roughly in total and how long it will take? I heard there are lots of paper works... If anyone knows about it, please let me know. I researched and found the Japanese Embassy in the US had information on importing pets into Japan; it linked to the official Animal Quarantine Site for Japan for detailed information. We tried taking our cats from US to UK and tried hard to comply with all the requirements but it s much more than shots, it s horrendous. And more than $1000 per cat! Be sure you read the links thoroughly that the guy before me gave you. Really.
