In Japan, where can I see snow in first week of December? -

My family is planning a 8 days trip to Japan this early December. We hope to see amp; experience some snow while there. We are not sure where we can do so. We hope to remain in Central Japan without travelling farther north to Hokkaido. It will be good if it is within a short travelling distance from Tokyo. Most websites recommend winter ski resorts but we do not intend to do any skiing.

Niigata has a lot of snow and it s likely that you can see at the beginning of December. Or Nagano is also likely to have snow at that time. You can take Joetsu Shinkansen from Tokyo to Niitaga. Or take Nagano Shinkansen to Nagano. http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/routemaps/shin...

I d think you could see snow at Mt. Fuji. It wouldn t be snowing down around the Yamanakako area at the base, and maybe not even at the half-way point where the tour bus can take you, but you would be able to see it on top of Mt. Fuji. Ooops, let me qualify that. You would be able to see snow on top of Mt. Fuji if you can see the top of Mt. Fuji. Summer is actually the best time to see Fuji. Winter you get a lot of cloudy days and can t see it at all. You can catch a bus from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji rather cheaply. Not sure how much it is now, but it was about 2,500 yen one way the last time I used it.

Hello.I am a japanese in tokyo. You should go to Nagano by shinkanse. It is Nagano shinkansen. You can take this train at tokyo station and about 90 minutes later, you can sell a lot of snow. You should get off at karuizawa station. It costs 5660 yen from tokyo to karuizawa.karuizawa town is one of the most famous resort area. But there are a lot of nature and beautiful scenery. You can see Asama mountain. There are a lot of nice hotels there. If you want to know more details please e-mail me.I want to assist you.

Not likely to see snow in Tokyo at that time if you are in Chiba and Tokyo. Central Japan maybe slightly. I went last mid Dec and temperature was about 12 to 14 deg celsius. When my bf went this mid Jan, he said it was snowing in Chiba. As he proceeded from Chiba to Tokyo, he said it was snowing lightly in Tokyo.

You can watch the snow covered tip of Mt. Fuji from Tokyo it self .. hehehe .. But, if you wanna have real showing experience , you can go to Nigata or Nagano pref. ..

I heard you can find in central Japan.

Go to Mount Fuji or really the best place that I know is guarenteed to get snow is Misawa.

Just go out to Fuji and climb to whatever station the snowline begins at.

Go mountain fuji .
