How does a manga (translate in english) cost in japan? Is it more expensive than the not translated? -

Just wondering, how many yen does a manga (translate in english) cost in japan? Is it still the same price as the not translated one? Thanks to anyone who can reply to my question.

Hi, I just checked Amazon.com in Japan. And I found out that it actually costs more. A normal Japanese comic book in Japanese language costs ￥410 yen (=$ 3.39 dollars )and the same comic book translated into English costs ￥924 yen (=$7.63 dollars)

It s very hard to find an english tranlated manga in Japan. The numbers are definite and not all published are publishing in other languages. Because the foreigners are very few and most Japanese couldn t use English or other languages. You can maybe found some in Tokyo, but not practical.

i am japanese and i think it is much cheaper. it costs 410 yen for each. moreover, if you bought them in book-off, which sells used books, you can get them by half-price! some of the old mangas are 100 yen!

There are very few mangas translated in english in Japan. But for a Japanese manga book it is only about a few hundred yen (depends on the series) and they are not as expensive at the translated ones by TokyoPop.

You can finding many this kind of transalted manga in the Tower Records store in Shibuya (book section on 7th Floor). Due to extra work (translation), of course this version is costing more. Cost depends on which publication.
