What do I need to do in order to move to Japan? -

I m planning on moving to Japan in 2 years or so. My reasons for doing so are such that I cannot be talked out of it. The internets have failed me in my efforts to figure out how I go about making this happen. I know I need a passport and a job lined up before I move. What else do I need to do?

You ll need the following: 1) A visa. In order to get this you will need to have a minimum 4 year degree, 10 years documented experience in your field or marry a Japanese national. There are other ways like humanties visas but they re limited in what jobs you can do. 2) Some Japanese speaking ability. The language there is Japanese and unless you are able to communicate with people there, you re in for a very rough and lonely time. 3) Money. Bring as much as you can lay your hands on because most places in Japan will only pay you once a month and in some cases your first pay won t arrive until the next month. 4) A job. You ll have a better chance of getting a visa if you have a job waiting for you. The bonus of this is that they act as your guarantor and can help you fill out the necessary forms. 5) A place to stay. Your best bet is to find out where you re going to be located and find a guest house somewhere that s easy to get to. It s like a dorm where you have a room all to yourself but a communal kitchen, washroom and shower area.

Plain and simple, you can t just move there. Japan has a closed immigration policy. They do not allow you to move there and say here I am...If you re an American, you need a four year degree. You also need a work visa. And to qualify for a work visa you need a solid job offer before you get there. The employer would sponser you. Most people teach English. But this is no longer the job it once was. With Nova going belly up, there are alot of out of work ESL teachers. Things maybe worse in another two years... If you go there without the proper paperwork, when caught, you will be deported and not allowed back in the country for at least 5 years.

well u will also need to get everything together what ever papers u might need that u dont have u will need to get. you need a plan u dont wanna move sum where with out a plan. u might want to even get a rental car or find out how transportation works there. u will want to find out the cost of living and how u can spend your money because im pretty sure there money and costs are diff. you will want to find out more about it to make sure u will like it. u will also need to find out how much your ticket will be and try to book it in advance so it will be cheaper. make sure u take everything that can prove your identity because u dont want to run into a problem like that. thats pretty much it
